A lot of pumping applications use Matlab or ?abview as the control software.
Why write ?abview? When I mean L abview? Because they (>abview wrote to me and told me not to use their L ?abview trademark. I hope that’s not true but perhaps consider this mentality when choosing tools your going to depend on.
So lets give these type of products a new name so I can refer to them all safely. I am going to call them an Expensive Integrated Scientific Development Environment or EISDE.
You will need to use your EISDE’s serial communication features to communicate with your pumps. Use SyringePumpPro to design/rehearse your pump commands and make any onboard pump programs you need. Doing this activity inside your EISDE is going to take ages and be very painful. You want to save EISDE use till you absolutely have all your pumping stuff sorted out. It will save a heap of time in the long run.
You will be able to use the SyringePumpPro log file to capture the responses from your pumps and the commands to your pumps. This can then be used in your EISDE programming.
